Problem with blue comet download

I have Trainz 2012 with Steam. I download the blue comet add on but it says it cant find the 2010 folder. When i browze for a trainz folder there isnt one. Can someone help me out? Thanks Al Sena newbee lol. ps i paid for the down load at the download station

Welcome to Trainz Sena. Unfortunately the Steam version hasn't been patched up to the point where the Blue Comet will work, AS FAR AS I KNOW. It's not N3V's error, it's up to Steam to make the patch.

Ed, You are quite right on this one. Steam is WAY behind the times. The last advertised add-on was June 27, 2011, and it's for the Duchess. Since then, quiet as a dead cricket. They do not have the Blue Comet or the Aerotrain at all, and there is no sign of them having them in the forseeable future.

Sena, I used to have the Steam version and realized it was way inferior to the straight up version. My advice would be to at least consider purchasing a NON-Steam version. Only then will you get to enjoy the Blue Comet. DEFINATELY hold onto the add on pack somewhere safe. If you do buy a straight version, the add on will still be accepted by it.

I agree with what's been said here, although the Steam build for TS12 should be compatible with the Blue Comet, but it is trickier to install it to a Steam version.

The reason why is that Steam installs it to a subfolder of <steam install folder>/steamapps/common/. On mine for example, this is C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/.
