Problem with a Product File??

Is this message related to there being a defective product in my TS2010?

JRTraincar (or Hopper): Thread Exception: ER_Exception, line 2197, file vehicle.gs (5)

JRTraincar (or Hopper): Product Filter.DoesAcceptProduct > Null product (file ProductFilter.gs) (5)

This occurs in Surveyor when you attempt to add a product to the available loads of a railcar. None of the products show up in the available loads window. There was a similar problem (not the same messages) in TRS2006 due to a defective product. I'd like to be sure this is the same issue since I have over 500 non-built-in products to sort through. None of the products appear in the faulty content list or show to be in error. I removed all non-built-in products that were not dependent assets of a railcar or industry hoping that might catch the culpret but it did not. I'd hate to sort my way through 500+ products, removing them one at a time, only to find out this has nothing to do with a bad product kuid/file at all.

Well, its not Rusty Rebar. That is the first one I looked for. I guess I'll have to work my way through the remainder of the 500+ products. I'm over half way through them now. My assumption is that if it appears in the queue(s) of the car in Surveyor and can be loaded it is not the one I'm looking for. I'm also assuming for now that it is not a built-in item. If anyone has found any broken products I'd appreciate hearing from you.

I'd start on anything recently installed or updated, just had a thought though, check jetlog.txt for anything odd like errors or unable to load whatever, may get lucky.

Indeed.

Fran1 - do you happen to have the KUIDs for the wearsprada items? I could do with adding them to my known problem commodities thread.

As it turns out, the fix was a 5 hour extended database repair. As I went through the list of products that were showing no errors or warnings and attempting to open them for edit I found at least 12 that gave two error messages; one related to being unable to read or find the config file and the other related to being "unable to read the config file for asset at 'hash-xx\kuid x xxxxxx xxxxxx x' ", where the x's changed with each error message. These assets would simply disappear from the list of assets and had to be reinstalled. This still did not correct the original problem of the products not appearing in the menu listing in Surveyor. I gave up and ran the extended database repair. This fixed the original error and the products now appear in the listing in Surveyor.

This left me with the following list of assets that say they are missing various script files:

Bordens Milk Delivery Truck 1939,<kuid:439337:101207>
Bordens Milk Tanker 1939,<kuid:439337:101206>

IP Stockyard_Sheep Ind,<kuid2:439337:101188:1>

Rotary Car Dump 12,<kuid2:210518:10916:1>
SBW Georgia Pacific Lumber Caboose #45,<kuid:359354:101016>

I'm betting that if I delete and reinstall these they will probably not be missing these script files.

Hi I was wondering if anyone who used to play on Trainz 2006 game could give me a helping hand with this?
