"ProtoLars industries do not work in Trainz 2009, at least not for me. I’m running 2009 on my home and laptop computer and “ProtoLars Industries” will not work. BI-1 and BI-2 work just fine. Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there a fix?
All ProtoLars industries get a warning “Warning: Tag 'icon0' in the container 'industry' is obsolete.” I have edited the config file to remove the “icon0” and the warning goes away, but the industry does not work. I have spent hours trying everything I could think of to kick start ProtoLars Industries and nothing has work."
It might be that you are not configuring it correctly.
I've put together a little demo route called "ProtoLARS demo" and a session called "ProtoLARS demo1". Only content built into TRS2009 is used, apart from two ProtoLARS industries - "ProtoLARS IndustRail" and "ProtoLARS Aggregates". Both are on the download station, together with all the products they are configured to produce and consume.
Make sure you are running in Compatibility mode (I haven't tested it with Compatibility mode off).
Don't edit any of the files.
_____
Instructions for the sessions:
Move the container flats forward until one of them is centered between the wooden blocks. After a wait of one minute the cars will load in approximately 10 second intervals. The sequence will be - 43ft container, 20ft tank container, 40ft Logset, and 40ft container.
While the containers are loading, move the other consist forward until one of the hoppers is centered between the blocks. Again after a one minute pause they should load in sequence - coal, ballast, iron ore, and wood chips.
Move both trains forward to the unloading points at the far end of the board. The left train keeps to the left.
The trains will unload with one car centered between the blocks after a one minute pause. This time the freight cars should all unload together (well, approximately together).

Perhaps you could confirm that this works for you.
