Problem of ASB Turnout (matters of 3-way junction)

Light Rail Trainz
I have correctly set the assets but this problem happens. All trains stop here.

The settings of assets (3 channels are used):

This problem happens when three trains come at the same time. How to solve this? Thank you.

Hi

You may get a better response if you post this in the payware section but I'll make a suggestion from just looking at the pictures. I think you should just have signals before the junctions and remove the ones between the turnouts. The trains are being stopped blocking the junctions which is stopping all traffic. They need to be stopped before reaching the junction which will leave all the exit tracks clear. I hope that you can understand the way that I have explained it.

Brian

I ran into this, you do not have enough rear and front approach triggers. In other words all of your routing requires two channels but it looks like you need two.

As some one who aggressively uses this asset group. The only way to fix this is to spread the turnouts so all trains fit between each turnout, there by clearing the old turnout before stopping for the next turnout. This info is quoted by Boat, the creator of the asset. I don't remember the exact place I read this at. I think it was in either the PDF on Boat's site or one of the lost threads in this forum.

I know I'm hiving off a wee bit lrt505 but what are vehicles in the picture/

I have decided to use Flexity Classic trams instead of german light rail trains because the pantographs are higher and destination signs are customizable.

Hi lrt505,

Sorry I've only just come across this thread. Not paying attention!

As Maruffijd says though, the problem is the distance between the junctions,(the sides of the triangle), versus the length of the trams. There must be enough room for a train/tram to clear the first junction before it can be stopped at the next junction’s signal or they will get stuck.

Remember that each ASB Turnout on your map only really knows full details about itself. To correctly control a tiny triangle like you have will really need a single ASB that knows what’s happening on all three approachesto the triangle. That’s certainly possible and if enough people want this for tram routes then ‘ASB Triangle’ may be a kit of the future. But for the present you will have to lengthen the triangle sides.

The forum post about this is here..... http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?84281-Boat-goes-Payware-ASB-Turnout!/page3

Sorry about that but I hope this info helps.

Hi Maruffijd. Have you tested the new Manual Load/Unload commands yet?

Boat, (Mike)
