Problem in Surveyor

I recently re-installed TS2010, and now I'm having a problem that, I've never seen before. When I attempt to attach track to an existing track, I get the following, when I click on the track:

As soon as the mouse button is released, the track comes back.

Nothing has changed since before the installation. I'm using the same options in the Trainz launcher , the same 'settings' in CMP, the same trainzoptions.txt file, and the same option settings in surveyor. I have made no changes in my video card.

This problem occurs with any route. It only occurs in TS2010. I have TS12 (which was also reinstalled), on the same hard drive, but the problem does not occur in TS12. It also doesn't occur in TS2010 on my laptop

When I copy and then paste close to a track, the track completely disappears when I click to paste, and reappears when I release the mouse button. This also happens near roads or any other spline item. Having this occur makes it very difficult to install track or roads.

Any help would be appreciated,

Joe

Joe,

I don't have TS2010, but it may have this similar setting in TS12: Off of the Main menu, choose Options. Then click on Surveyor Settings. Is there a setting called Spline editing detail? It should have 3 settings: Simple, Track only and Detailed. You may have it set to Simple. Try the other settings and see if that doesn't change the behavior. I played with this quite a while ago, but forget how it changes spline activity.

Andrew,

You solved my problem. The slider was set on 'Simple'. I moved it one notch, and it now works fine. I'm in my eleventh year of Trainz, and I find that I'm still learning new things.

Many thanks,

Joe
