"Portal Basic Short" Woes

Hello. I have Montanawestren's "Bliss Grain" route, and I want to set up the portals to take loaded trains and give back empties. However, he used the "Portal Basic Short" asset, which is basically a short portal without the tunnel part, for those of you who don't know. I probably spent a good 10-15 minutes with the "Properties" tool selected clicking every little pixel of the portal, and I can never get the properties window to come up. I tried to move it or delete it, but once again, can't seem to click the right part of it.

Any advice?
