Port Zyd download missing kuid2:124017:10112:3

I am missing kuid2:124017:10112:3 from my download and I cannot find it anywhere on the internet or download. Can anyone help me in getting this file?

I found on a Russian site the :2 kuid. I installed it into Trainz but cannot find it as there are so many. How do I locate the kuid to modify it to :3? Thank you for your help.

On my install kuid2:124017:10112:3 is shown as Built-in. Did you check to see if it was "open for edit?" - I've had Port Zyd installed in both Tane and TRS-19 editions and never had any missing kuids.

I have :2 now listed as modified. No :3. I cannot seem to edit the kuid number displayed from within the content manager. It also lists no parent title. There are no open for edit files. Is there a way of deleting this addition and reloading it from Steam?

It is on the DLS - there is no need to get it from a Russian site.

Open Content Mananger, select Custom as the Filter and enter the KUID <kuid:124017:10112> in the filter line for Asset KUID. The item will be listed.
Right click the asset and choose Open \ Edit Config File Text.
Find the line 'kuid <kuid2:124017:10112:2>' and change it to 'kuid <kuid2:124017:10112:3>'
Close the file and save it.
Choose File \ Import Content Folder and navigate to the Editing folder in the Trainz data folder (the data folder path is listed in the Install Tab of the Settings option of the Launcher).
Select the folder ('kuid2 124017 10112 2...'). The asset will be imported.
Right click the :2 asset in Content Manager and select Revert to Original.
Right Click the :2 asset in Content Manager and select List Asset Versions. The :2 and :3 versions will be listed.

Hi Alan --

I'm the author of this layout and the sessions that you will find on the Download Station. I do feel responsible for errors like this but I have to accept that they are well beyond my control.

The layout and sessions that I submitted were error free. Somewhere along the line something has changed. I suspect that the dependency that you are looking for might be the ones that I come across that show as "unknown location" or something similar in Manage Content? Where or how N3V has hidden them I dunno.

I suspect as well that :2 will be fit for purpose. Try before you modify it to :3.

As for my (as opposed to the ones that come with your download) sessions, see here:

Phil, the work you have done on this layout is impressive. Since I am the only one having problems I must assume I did something wrong. If I said I have had more trouble using Trainz software then almost all other games combined that I play on Steam, I sadly will not be far off the mark. Even this website I find throws roadblocks in the way. Every comment requires you to read and enter an image which is not always clear.

Asset listed as unknown and the open\edit button obviously does not work.

Maybe try it the other way? If Port Zyd wants :3 and you have :2, then right-click Port Zyd route in CM and select "edit Config.txt". Search for the :3 asset and change it to :2, then save the file and right click on Port Zyd and select "Submit Edits". It should work fine unless I am missing something from the original post.

Sorry, my post has just been obsoleted. LOL! See SailorDan Below

It was previously listed as Modified - what has happened to change that?

I have just confirmed it is available on the DLS. If you are seeing it as unknown then that suggest you are not correctly connected to the DLS.

Not necessarily. The built-in content situation for TRS2019 has become completely confused. If you didn't download all the DLC items (and there is no reason why you would) then you might not get items that others have.

OK. I've just checked my installation of that layout. I downloaded the original payware layout into a clean installation of TRS19. I then installed my TRS19 update of the layout (from the Download Station) and went into Manage Content. The :3 is listed as "Installed, Payware".

So, question, what installation process have you used to end up where you are?

I bought the multi pack from steam that included your route and the Trainz program automatically downloaded everything. I noticed that two of the routes had missing kuid files. One route I could get them all from the download station but yours did not have the file I mentioned. Please don't ask me why as I have no clue. I have had this problem before but I was able to fix it. If you can tell me how to delete your scenario, perhaps I can get it to reload on Steam. I am having all sorts of trouble since I upgraded to Gold membership which makes no sense other than I loaded on files from Auran which I had no clue what they did. I do not think this would effect this problem though. It is possible there was a glitch in the download and this file ended up not being included. I cannot find it in the downloads either which seems rather strange. I cannot believe Auran would not have this file on their download site.

This would be my approach:
Use Manage Content to download the :2 version.
Find it in Manage Content, right click / Open / Show in Explorer.
Your file manager should open at the folder.
Copy and paste this folder to another location.
Double click the config.txt file inside this folder; Notepad should open.
Change the :2 to :3. Save.
Drag and drop the whole folder back into Manage Content.
Submit.
Revert the original :2.
Done.

You need to do the editing of the config.txt file externally and drag it back in because you can't do editing and submitting within Manage Content. It don't like that.

Phil,
I manage to delete all the Trainz installation and reinstall it. Many programs started working including yours. Thank you for your concern. The Cornish Mainline scenarios appear to still have a problem though.

Please see post #6. You should not move the folder before editing it. This can create issues with Windows permissions and risks files getting lost. There is no reason not to use the edit config option available within Content Manager.
