Port Ogden & Northern Dependencies

Hi everyone, I've been a trainz user since back in the day when it first came out.
Due to system requirements, I find that my favorite/best version remains 2004.
My question is this, I'm trying to download content from the download station but some items, specifically the roundhouse pack and the tunnel pack refer to external sites.
When I go there, I'm getting a messgae that these sites are down or no longer available or cannot be found on the web.
Any suggestions?
thanks!

Hi Maxisis --

I downloaded the latest PO&N into a clean installation of TRS2004 just a couple of days ago.

Download Helper did capture and install all the dependencies, including the roundhouse and tunnel packs.

My suggestion is to use TrainzObjectz to delete the route (and then remember to ask it to delete dispatcher.chump), and then use Download Helper to download the route again.

Actually, don't do this right now - it seems the Download Station is having a bit of a hissy fit.

I had the same problem with the 120 ft Roundhouse. The problem is that the the download has the wrong link. I contacted Scott and the link should be working shortly. He change some stuff on his server and that cause the problem. :)

The other question I had for Phil is this. Are there any Sessions in the 2a update to Port Ogden and Northern? Just wondering.

phil;
it appears the download station is back up. I was having trouble with it all night.
Anyway, this may sound like a silly question, but could you tell me exactly how you downloaded the entire Port Ogden route thru the helper.
Every time I attempt to use it, I encounter some type of problem.
The links on the Port Ogden route for the roundhouse and the tunnel continue to not work.
Many thanks!

Hi Maxisis --

Just a suggestion, when giving your e-mail in a semi-public forum it's better to use:

xxx at yyy dot com (fill in x znd y as appropriate)

This way auto-search-bots have more trouble finding your e-mail address and you will get less spam.

Sure. First off you will have to remove the route.

If you have TrainzObjectz, use that.

If not, and I'm assuming here that you can use Windows File Explorer, go to:
Program Files/Auran/TRS2004/World/Dispatcher/Downloads

In the Downloads folder you will find a whole heap of kuids. This what you have download since way back in '04.

Run down the list until you find the kuid that corresponds to the route. Delete it.

Now go into
Program Files/Auran/TRS2004/Cache

Delete the file "world_cache_Dispatcher.chump"

Go to the Download Station, here:

http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php

Find the route, and click on "Download (Helper)" just under the thumbnail.

Assuming that you have set up your password correctly, Download Helper will first rebuild Dispatcher.chump (which is why it's important to delete it after removing a kuid, otherwise Download Helper will think that the route is still installed) and then it will search for what is missing.

It will then identify and capture all the missing dependencies.

Tell me if this helps.

Phil
