Popping out of the Cab View

Crabby Old Geezer
Just the last three days, I'll be sitting in the cab, moving along the rails on my route, enjoying the ride, etc., when suddenly my view will pop from Cab View to Chase View. No warning or anything. I'll have to push the "1" key or roll my mouse forward to return to the cab. Anyone have a clue why this is happening and is there a fix? I'm using TRS19.

But it's only been happening to me for the last three days. I've been running this route for 5-6 years now and this is the first time I've experienced it.

Very odd, I've never heard of it before. Does it happen on other routes and with other locos? How far in do you get before the problem comes up?

Cheers,

PLP

Have you recently installed the 'Instant Move Train' command? That makes the camera jump from any view back to 'Chase' when it is used anywhere on a layout.

Just a thought,

Have you used the M key to look at the map and they did not press the M key to return?

I have pressed the 1 key instead of the M key and had the same thing happen to me.

Yes I use it. I will delete it and see if it changes anything, thanks for the info.

Might be your mouse is get a bit flaky. When my mice are dying they issue all kinds of phantom commands.
Yes, I kept experiencing the same thing for the same reason not long ago and totally forgot about it until you mentioned it.

Yep. Just installed it about a week ago. I guesss I'll have to uninstall it and make a workaround for my aircraft as that's where I use it.

If you contact the author of the command he may well be able to tell you how to edit his script and avoid the camera pop. You would need his permission of course.

Well, I don't need the command now. I just have the aircraft back up to a stopping point then move on to the taxiway to begin take-off.
