Has to be Surveyor for me, but simple rules only (still longing for a "proper" timetable editor for player trains! :) ).

"Roughly equal time in Driver and Surveyor"

Although if I had the PC or the skill, I would (try to) be a creator!!

I love route building but it would be good to be able to upload these to the the DLS without having to try a few times, also that people could download without problems, this isn't happening now.

I voted "Mainly Surveyor & using more advanced Rules and settings". I also use basic rules from time to time, and I find that after a lot of surveyor work, I open up driver (from the shortcut), and drive for many, many minutes/hours.

Then I play FSX

Tony,

I think you are overlooking another area of use. That is collecting content. I spend a good deal of time downloading new stuff from the DLS or other websites and checking it out in surveyor or driver. To me this is like going to the hobby shop and checking out all the new stuff. I use Railyard quite a bit to see new rolling stock and if I could have one wish that would be to be able to see scenery objects and track in Railyard.

I'm a "Mainly Surveyor & using more advanced Rules and settings". I spend a good part of my Trainz time working on my extensive route then get tired of Surveyor, and go off for weeks driving it with its extensive AI traffic network. I have AI drivers handling through freights using the portals along with trains delivering passengers and goods to various interactive industries. This is in addition to me driving my own passenger commuter train along another line.

To Tony

I really wonder about the validity of this particular poll.

- The wording of some questions was adjusted half way through.
- An extra question was even added after voting had started.
- The categories are not mutually exclusive.
- They possibly don't cover a significant, even major Trainz activity, ie. searching for, downloading and editing custom content via TO or CMP to make it work or fit a filing scheme so you can find it easily in Surveyor.

I hope there is some way you can double check any conclusions you draw from this one.
