So I got trainz 2010: engineers addition. I have always wanted to play trainz so I finally got it. I registered my serial number and now I am patching it with random patches trying to get it to play online. I havent done anything with my trainz ID. Idk if im supposed to register it into something or not. When I play it i have to have no internet and have to run it as administrator or else it will shut off without warning about 10 seconds in. I want to play fully functional trainz 2010 online with all updates full so I can download new routes and stuff and chat and drive with other people. Thanks for all the help that i hope will come my way and if possible could someone walk me through from start to finish on everything I need to to. I also deleted the serial key so I think that I just ruined it.

THANKS, Jarrett

First thing you need to do is register your serial number. Click 'Planet Auran' tab at the top of this page, then 'Serial Number' from the left-hand menu...

It said that the serial has already been registered. I just figured out what I did never mind thanks for all your concerns!

Jarrett it's NOT registered. If it was registered you would have 'TS2010' next to your username where I have a whole row of versions registered.

The reason you are asked to register is that there are plenty of ways to get hold of an illegitimate copy of Trainz and most of the Trainz community takes software piracy seriously. Registering your copy at Planet Auran is the ONLY way to prove you have a ligit copy.

Once registered you will find this community one of the friendliest and most helpful on the net. With an unregistered copy you will get little if any response...

I don't think the time line is fixed yet, so it could be a while before, some people will see there version next to there name.

I'm concerned by the fact that the OP stated that an error message appeared stating that the serial is already registered.

This could mean that it's a second hand copy, and as many users here know, a serial number can only be registered once, and is not transferable.
