PLEASE HELP, MANY QUESTIONS!!!

Had a few questions.

1) I'm in the middle of building a layout right now on Trainz Classics 3. I have one branch line that is like a giant oval, on one side is a coal mine and the other a power station. I have to steam engines pulling coal cars (each start at the opposite end of the layout) . On one side I have an engine shed with two side tracks (put it there for looks at first). Then I thought about the possibility of starting the two engines in the sheds, and giving them rules to go hook onto their loads and then begin their jobs. Right now their schedule is to drive to the coal mine, load, to power plan, unload, and repeat. If I start them in the shed, have them drive to their cars, couple, then begin their routes I can't put repeat because it would tell them to drive to where cars are agian. Any suggestions?

2) What are Portals?

3) Is there a place I can get new locomotives for TC3?

4). I'm building my layout and giving the engines orders, why wont it let me give it an uncouple order in Surveyor?

2) What are Portals?

Portals are pieces of track that can produce and consume trains. So you can set a portal to produce trains at one end of your layout, and another to consume trains at the other - and if you tell the first portal to set the trains to go to the other, they'll provide a sequence of background traffic on the layout.

I'm building my layout and giving the engines orders, why wont it let me give it an uncouple order in Surveyor?
Go into the rules for your session, and in the driver commands rule, tick the "Uncouplez From" order. This allows you to specify how many vehicles back from the loco to make the cut, and doesn't require that the order is given when the train is in the relevant formation, unlike "uncouple".
