Please finish up the Content Store.

I realize the Content Store is a WIP, much like the rest of Trainz, but the product is really cumbersome to use and truly much like a beginner programming project and has the "let's get it out and let the flack land later feeling about it".

So with that said, maybe we could see some updates to that module sooner than later.

Seeing the Content Store button flash on the Launcher is helpful, but it doesn't give any indication as to what's going on.

If when we start up the Content Store, how about a flashing tab as well once we're in there?

Updates available, flash the tab so we don't have to check there unknowingly only to find there's nothing and waste time.

How about adding in a New Content tab?

As the interface is now, we spend time scrolling through content to find the new item to install. A flashing New Content button, when clicked to show the new stuff, is really helpful.

The ability to sort columns in any category.

We can sort by the installed/uninstall column, and name, and while you're at it, how about a date-installed column?

After the TS3 is done, really hope the team gets into making the base game better
Maybe start with the base code in build 100240 which was stable and what users want
and add only the modules that have proven to be working.
Sometimes you have to step back to move forward (i know i do that)
hope they seriously read all that is posted in Suggestion Box car


TNI sounded promessing, but does not seem to have the desired effect
I see no one actually doing anything with it.

How about for starters just fix the error msg given on downloads. How many posts are there about downloads failing when it's just a "wrong" error msg and things downloaded fine? You would think that after this amount of time a wrong error msg could have been fixed. Think of it. New users of TRS-19 (with Store) introduced to N3V and TRS-19 with an error that isn't an error. And something that infers to the new users: "That content you purchased can't be used be used becauase of a download error." Seems like a PR nightmare to me but it just goes on... and on... and on.... And we (forum) continue to answer and explain...

I recently put together a fresh install for testing purposes, I downloaded all of the standard edition TRS19 routes and all of the TANE Deluxe routes and there was not one error among them all. So perhaps new users won't be dismayed after all.
I do get errors on other installs, but they predated the appearance of the content store. Maybe something in that?
No problem is insurmountable and after all, we, the forum, are very good at advice and problem solving.

Definitely a great step in the right direction! Yes, indeed. I agree that after the TS3 push the basics can be cleaned up. There's too much going on for them to do at once, but this one has been languishing like that dish of leftovers that gets forgotten every time we open the fridge and is now ready to grow legs and leave on its own.

Yup. I forgot to mention this one. It too has gotten a bit moldy growths coming out of it and needs a bit of working over. I too am tired of answering the questions, and a couple of times there were actual errors occurring, but the ongoing error occurred message masked the real error.

I had the same effect as well, but that doesn't mean that everyone doesn't have the luck like this. There's been a few folks that I've helped that had that error after a fresh install. In a couple of cases, the error was real, but in others it was the usual false flag.
