This is a serious question, please explain this term to me, in relation to Trainz that is.
As I understand it, it means "as it is in reality", meaning as "it" would behave in real life. The "it" being anything like either a locomotive, behavior, look, speed, acceleration or what have you.
A web site describes it as: Having the nature of, constituting, or serving as a type:
archetypal,
archetypic,
archetypical,
classic,
classical,
model,
paradigmatic,
prototypal,
prototypic,
quintessential,
representative,
typic,
typical.
Another as:
1. An original type, form, or instance serving as a basis or standard for later stages.
2. An original, full-scale, and usually working model of a new product or new version of an existing product.
3. An early, typical example.
4. Biology A form or species that serves as an original type or example.
Yet another:
1. representing or constituting an original type after which other similar things are patterned.
The Wikipedia as:
A
prototype is an original type, form, or instance of something serving as a typical example, basis, or standard for other things of the same category.
Unless someone has a better explanation :hehe:.
*Edit: Got beaten by above while looking up definitions. At least Google can give you
most answers you might be looking for. :hehe:
