Attention everyone who reads these forums, Please create these trains/locomotives,a Thalys PBKA, a Metrolink train,a Metra train, and an old Trans-Siberian Express steam locomotive. Please create them for Trainz 2006, Trainz 2009, and Trainz 2010. If you want pictures go to google.com, you may not be able to find the locomotive; if you cant look in, or buy a book titled Usborne-Quicklinks, trains.

Thank you,
Engineer130:D

You know, I prefer the less demanding interrogative sentence for request myself but at least you said please.

Check the DLS for Metra and the other things, if you cannot find them you can get all of those things here,
http://www.blender.org/
With some assembly required.

Reskinning a locomotive is one thing, that is hard enough, and sometimes takes weeks, or much longer.

However making a locomotive from scratch sometimes takes months, to several years of labor intensive work with G Max, Blender and other complex programs.

I'm sure someone will get right on this, (these 4 complex items), just for you...please stand by the phone...

I'm sorry... I just can't help but laugh at your post here, not sarcastically or mean hearted .... it's just funny to read, etc ...

It's your second post, so, hopefully the commuity gives you a pass!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum!!

BTW -- check the DLS -- you might find what you're looking for!!

You're going to learn real fast that making a wish-list (aka demand list) is not smiled upon by most members of the Trainz community. I'll ask now future posters not to treat you too horribly, since you are new. You should learn to do everything here very respectfully. If you want something done, say please and thank you. You said please, so kudos for that. if you want something made, though, it will be worth investing in learning to create your own content. Fortunately, there are many free programs out there that can do this. Gmax, Blender, and Google's Sketchup are all options. It'll take time to learn the programs, but once you have you'll find it worth the time it took to learn.

If you go for Gmax, here are some sites and books that might help.

Gmax Bible
Gmax handbook
www.worldoftrainz.com
http://trainzresources.com/directory/index.php

Hopefully, you will find the trainz experience enjoyable. Welcome.

I agree with Ish, you're obviously new here so I'm going to give you a pass. I don't think you realize what you're asking. A locomotive can take months to build. Asking them to build one for you is one thing (yes, you at least said please), but telling them to go buy a book, that's a little over the top.
I'll occasionally build a loco for someone, but most of time, I'd like them to do some of the research for me and supply me with some pictures and drawings if they can.

Good luck in your search and welcome to Trainz.

Mike

but telling them to go buy a book, that's a little over the top.

Hi Mike,

Yeah, that line ... seriously, I got tears in my eyes just laughing at it! I think that's a classic for newbies ...

@All -- Maybe he's a 12 year old or someone who really doesn't participate in forums ... I say, give him a pass, and just sit and wait for his response ... he's third post should determine his personality to these posts!!

Just my 2 cents, guys!! :)

Ish

Yeah Ishie, that's a line that I don't think I've seen here on the forums before. I just put it under the newbie category.
Engineer130, don't let the comments discourage you. We welcome you to the forum and hope that you become a valued member here. Just take it slow.

Mike

I think what scares me the most is the thought that maybe this person would walk into a meeting night at their local model railroad club and introduce themselves in the same way. Even more dangerous might be the local jujitsu club.

Hi,
This thread poster describes themselves as a carpenter, and so suggests to me, a mature person who obviously has creative skills.
It's easy for us who have been here a while to have a wee laugh at the expense of others......we all have made the same mistakes when joining a new forum..........I have anyway..........
The vast majority of responses have been measured and reasonable, but let's hope we have not lost a potential new forum member.
I hope he gets back to us and we can give him the support this forum is valued for. So many other forums suffer from a lack of members and slowly grind to a halt - can I suggest we treat our new members with the respect they deserve, as in many cases, they are the future.........
As my post count verifies, when I joined this forum in 2002 I got shot-down so often,to the extent, that I rarely post - visit daily but say little.

All the Best,

Ian

Well, as for myself, I'm not laughing at him as his expense, because I don't know the person, and secondly, most importantly, it's wrong to do that!!

... I am laughing at his statement ... sometimes, you just need to take these statements with a grin of salt and just simply laugh ... especially that line about telling us to go buy a book!

Also, like I said in my post ... let's give him a pass ...

BTW -- we have welcome him with open arms, so now the ball is in his hands!!

You have self a good day!

You are of course right - the book thing is a bit OTT. and I also did make a point of describing responses as measured etc.
He has a pass as you say and so let's hope he does get back - up to him of course.

All the best anyway,

Ian
