WOW, i just realized that they do look like CSX rails.
thats looking better, but still far from done.
Now time to add in the little details that make a route interesting
That default concrete tracks still needs to go.
I recommend adding some 3D grass (search the DLS for "Jankvis")
Get some good trees by Dmdrake and Jankvis (on the DLS)
Some goo buildings (Dmdrake)
and then some better ground textures (search the DLS for the author "Vendel" Keep at it

i am not really considering the textures at the moment, but i could use the 3D grass.
i will keep the concrete tracks there, but i will use a different track type for it.

Grass, if you dont over do it and crash your route, can more than make up for bland textures (not saying that your textures are bland btw). Can I recommend grasses from JVC. They are very nice. Just dont over do it.
also when laying textures press the [ or ] key to auto rotate the texture. It will look much better. route is starting to look amazing.

i think i overdid it for the 3D grass. 
anyway, THE ROUTE IS FINISHED!
and i still have 420 MB left on my boot camp hard drive.
not to mention,
thankz to nikos1 and jadebullet for the help on buildings and 3D grass, cascaderailroad for the textures, jadebullet and strench707 for standing up for me, Jankvis for the 3D grass, Dmdrake for the buildings, nikos1 for the engines, and last but not least, WCL and strench707 for encouraging me to keep going through all the insults.

Believe it or not there are Zero textures in that shot, just one building, a signal bridge upright, a road spline and an erantly placed crossbuck and 20 grass's and 15 trees. (purposely put the crossbuck in wrong so it could be seen, as any other placement would have been a backshot of the crossbuck).

the fact that you post irrelevant things, or start topics of things that have been already done like 30 times, or post a thread that your starting a route, post no screens, and when you finally do it's only one texture, and then you say its done. Or the fact that you are a blatant noob!

It is a great looking picture, and I can agree with your thinking, however, when the train crosses the intersection, does it not block the signal to oncoming road traffic ??
