Photobucket changes!

I still use Photobucket from time to time (usually for posting diagnostic screen grabs for others) and one thing that irks me is that in order to get the full-size image, you have to copy a link that goes something like

photobucket.com/image.jpg~original

On some boards you will not be able to post your large image because it will return an error "extension not allowed" since ".jpg" is not at the end of your link.

I've not found that to be necessary. Doing as I outlined in post #19 had presented no problems at all. My shots go up at 1680x1050, (or 1378x861 if I reduce them to 82% prior to Photobucket upload).

@Paulsw2
@itareus

You're welcome with the advice. Having criticised Photobucket for falling short in my OP I thought it only right and proper to let people know that there is a way to upload and share large images.

I don't know if it is something that was available with the changes from day one, or if it has been recently added. Either way it's not that easy to find. Perhaps they don't want too many people doing it!

As per Photobucket's "advice" I haven't made any changes.

Other Forum users might like to be aware to either set the box to allow large images to be uploaded or shared, or leave it alone if it's already ticked.

I did try the "Click here" link for more information, but got no further information - just this:
