Payware for UK TRAINS?

BRClass66

Always needing help
Hi,

Is there any payware sites for UK Trains, Like jointed rail...?

Jointed rail do some amazing trains/rolling stock etc.(but no UK trains):'(

would be nice to have some UK trains in the same quality.with keyboard keys for lights, fuel, sand etc.

I would spend a fortune on them lol

Railworks have good UK trains,
wish i could buy railworks trains and rolling stock and get them to work on Trainz 10.

Try this:

http://www.gplocomotives.com/

GP Locomotives.

Probably some of the most detailed BR/LMS/GWR locos available. Absolutely stunningly accurate and detailed models, along with Paul Hobbs, Gary Price (LMS_MAN) makes the best payware UK steam locos available.

skipper1945, George Bailes makes excellent GWR steam loco freeware, available on the DLS.

Thanks,
Really helpful

Did'nt know there was any payware sites for uk trains.
I'm really looking for modern ish trains,Like the BR Class 66,47,37

tmz06003,Warbo40 and Pikkabird to name a few are my favorites so far with the work they have done.

would really love the fuel script in these trains.

But for now i think ill spend a few pounds at railwaves on the Class 66 loco pack and see how that goes.

Thanks so much for the help.

New Computor, Old Railwave CD?

Hi, been lurking a long time, spent most of my time learning AC3D, google Sketch, and the newer Photoshop Elements 9.

Im hoping 2012 Trainz is better than the one I tried over 14 months ago, As objects You tried to put into a station with a canopy, was all but impossible, moving the whole station, instead of the chosen object, I also couldnt open D/L manager, it kept asking me what program do I want to open it with, I just opened trainz exe, which I thought was the right place, but unfortunetly it wasnt, and the D/L manager never worked again, as no option to associate the d/L manager with another part of trainz folder was never found, hence, I never got it working, and unfortunetly it went into the bin.

Why Im asking about Railwaves, is, because I have the whole railwaves CD of engines, signals, etc, mostly all uk including the virgin Voyager. But I last used it properly in my old Trainz 2004. Would some one be kind enough to tell me if this cd of content will load in to Trainz 2012 if I buy the digital download version?, and also wether it will also be able to use on my new computor, just delivered, which has windows 7, which I really really hate, as hardly any of my programs installed on my xp computer, are even recognised by win7, and even then, they have to be installed from right clicking the dvd drive to start the exe. it dont autoplay a game or software disc, when its put in drawer like XP, so its very frustrating , along with the creative labs soundblaster card I transfered to the new comp, most of its features, like the equalizer and other parts of the software, just dont work. pfft. Fortunetly, the Nvidia 9600 PCIE graphic card I bought from Amazon uk went in without any problem :P

Thanks for any help , and if possible any links to what is used mainly to make content, Unfortunetly the really top end Modelling programs are out of my pocket as retired, like 3Dmax and the photoshop c5. I have wings3D program and the above mentioned in first paragraph. I also have an Airbus Model I bought, and exported as a 3ds, to import into second life, unfortuently second life, doesnt allow objects, only Scuplty prim maps, which needs a lot of skill to read and map the textures. If I can finish making the airbus, putting a livery on it, and extruding the windows etc, can I import that into trainz as a 3ds model, If not, I can get another one, with a differant 3d extension, as they only 10$. Not sure, what Extension, I would need, The Site where these models are available, list up to 50 types of extensions, I would need to know, Which format, I would need to pick after I finished building it, or is there a trainz content program That would tell me that.

sorry long winded questions:confused:

thanks again, before I purchase this 2012 Download!
Cheers

Don,t make my mistake and buy a class 66 loco pack I later got nore realistic class 66,s from the DLS. 66701, 66705, 66709, 66731, 66504, 66522, one other Freightliner 66 and 1 DRs only it is in Malcolmrail livery. Cabs and engine sound are better than payware. Livery is about the same as payware. Deltics from DLS are more than good, they are exccellent. You only need one blue one however as you can give it any number (55001-55022) and the name will change as well. And you can enable fuel consumtion (two types). Engine sound and horn are realistic. There are other locomotive gems on the DLS as well

Most of the Railwaves stuff I had from TRS04/06 days shows faulty in TS09/10. Check the Railwaves site to see if ther are updates for TS09/10/12.

On the back of Paul's post, I have the Class 170, Class 47 pack, UK signals and UK signs. All work in TS2009 but I haven't tried them in TS10 yet. They do say they're compatible with TS10 though.

Another site to look at is http://eldavos.awardspace.com/ which has a small selection of locos and includes a free Class 67 and some wagons.

I did find eldavos site through railwaves.
it has a try before you buy,But when i downloaded the Brel Class 58 i got errors with Engine Class 58 (Railfreight) :-

Error: Texture 'env_metal.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'sound_driver.im'.

Errors with Class 67 Driver:-

Error: Texture 'boot.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'Class_67_driver.im'.

His look good and have the fuel script....But if this has errors while its a try before you buy , i dont think it will work if i buy it (Trainz 10)

Cheers
Brad

I'm not entirely understanding your post.

If you are referring to where to get it from, there are currently none available since Railwaves closed down.

Peter Hicks was making a 170, but that seems to have dried up.
