Patching TS12 after getting rid of Steam Version?

My saga continues.

I bought a copy of TS12 directly from Auran.

Now I'm trying to patch it to current version.

When I run the patch program it looks for the .exe Steam installed. When I change the path to where my new version is installed and run it again it says that another TS12 program is running and can't patch.

(I had uninstalled the Steam TS12 .exe and deleted the Steam TS12 local content). Still won't work.

So Steam is messing with me even after I've gotten rid of it!

Any advice on how to get this thing patched?
