Patching process

I have changed my computer and I have installed trainz 12 as I had in my old one.

I wont to patch it with SP1 and Hothix 1 aand 2 and to reload my old local folders

My doubt is the order to process, First to pacht and them to reload local folders? Or viceversa

I recommend installing each patch separately, rebooting your computer after each patch. Don't start Trainz in between patches. When you are finished patching , import your saved content. Run an Extended Database repair, then start Trainz for the first time. Don't do anything with your computer during the patching, turn off your anti virus, Windows Update , etc. This is how I did it when I put in my new SSD and everything went in without any problems.

Patching first is best as it's a lot quicker when there's no user content installed. Make sure you turn off your antivirus software first though.

P.S. Also make sure you register your Trainz version if you have a PC version unless it's on a different account.

Also, be aware that patching to SP1 will be a long process, perhaps taking hours. Based upon my experience, I would install TS12, and the first two hotfixes, patch to SP1 and let the machine run overnight--and if it's not finished in the morning, continue to let the patching process proceed--, and then apply the first and second hotfixes to SP1.
