Patch Help

I tried to download a patch for Trainz 2010,
Build 42203 -> 44088 is the patch I downloaded

After about two hours of running the patch an error message came up saying:
Could not open patch file builtin\8.ja for reading.
Failed to apply the patch: 42203_to_44088
Patching aborted.

Any suggestions??????

Well to make a simple answer difficult; When I went from patch 41622 to 42203, the only way it would work was to put my computer in safe mode.
To update from 42203 up to 44088, safe mode would not work. All I did was to make sure my screen saver was shut off and install the patch in Windows "normal" mode.
I am running Vista. Hope that helps!!

Oh by the way, rarely if ever, does the Auto patcher ever work for me. I have to download it from the forums ahead of time and then install from my downloads folder.

I feel your pain. I always have difficulties with the patches, it usually involves a pot of coffee, half a pack of cigarettes and much cursing!

Just try experimenting using safe mode and not running a screen saver.

I could not get that patch to work so went the longer way around.
42203 to 43434 and then 43434 to 44088.
