This seems to be a very common issue. Previously loading the environment was unnoticeable - now it can take up to 60s.

Tony warned of long initial load times with this beta. Initial load on my system was 6 minutes and now around 70 seconds.
To minimize the load time, go into CM and make sure there are no faulty locos. If there are, disable them and then try reloading and it should be quicker.

No its doing it on my end too, takes forever to load environment. No problem up until now.

I have the same problem not only with the environment but with any route or session. This happens every time I go into the game. I did a bug report on this problem and waiting for reply from Q&A.

The first load will be the longest due the caching of content, which is actually not enabled in the beta versions. Once the precaching is enabled, the program will load a lot quicker.

Known issue - it's a bug (fixed internally, update coming ... soonish )
