Yes, "ex",
Have actually downloaded it and Harcourt's is a very impressive offering it is. However it set in the days of the UTA which is a considerable time back now whereas I am now doing the modern N.I.R. offering. I did get hold of that line drawing booklet at a Model Rail Show and it gives all the lines in linear fashion which is a bit of a nuisance but shows this line as now single tracked. Think it was doubled as far as Ballymena? Due to new trains and improved trackage NIR has built extra passing loops to cope with a great increase in traffic.
Tried Google Earth but it is rather poor in this area I am looking at and much of the Province it is little use at all.and far too faint to make out properly but seems to show the trackage as being singled north of the place I mentioned. Think I will just leave it doubled. I am presently doing the NIR company system which isn't big by passenger standards - around 220 miles is all that is left of Ulster's once extensive rail. No scenery yet but have the Belfast-Border Line as far as Newry, Belfast-Bangor, Belfast on the LD Line as far as Antrim and the start of the Larne Line. Have also laid the Central Line cross country from Lisburn junction to Antrim junction (via Crumlin) and is now mothballed at present but used for driver training. Have Central Station in and part of Gt Victoria Street. Might be tempted when done to a second version and include a couple of closed lines for the fun of it.
Don't live in Ulster so makes it more awkward but there is a great lack of anything across the sea and this will be another offering in time - a long time I would imagine! When Iget to the point of scenery (do have stations, crossings inplace that I know about!) then I will get some pics up in due course. Go there for occasional breaks and love the place so a tribute to a wee place that got hard done to by people who ran the transport years ago and didn't like trains when they got their hands on them!
