Pantograph Height Adjustment

wridenour

There goes a...train!
Hey just a question for anyone who knows...

Is there any way to adjust the height of a pantograph so it will reach the wires? In my case, I'm using prototypical Northeast Corridor wire height, but Virtual Beech Grove's AEM-7's pantograph (kuid:160048:1028) is set to standard Trainz height rather than the true NEC height. If there's any config file edit or something I can do to bring that panty up I'd love to know of it..

Thanks

Hello wridenour,

There is no system available at this moment which is useable to all trains/trams.

However,

Have a look at following thread

Is there a rule which can automatically change the height of the pantograph?

and this one http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?95471-Old-Freight-Motor-Updated-(NH-EF-1).

Have a try with the second thread - perhaps It will give you the solution you need.

Best regards

Thanks for the replies all. Guess I'll have to live with the 4 foot gap between the pantograph and the wires...you know, I guess if we ironed out all the issues with Trainz, it just wouldn't be Trainz lol

Look, all I did was copy the pantograph from the default AEM-7 in Trainz, and pasted it in the AEM-7AC from amtrak trainz.
and it worked fine.
