Good day


Two plagiarisms of my maps appeared on DLS Auran today. The author of the plagiarism did not contact me, did not ask for anything, ...... and completely copied my work.
The production of a map is time-consuming (in my case, 1 year or more - these are not simple maps).
I regret this approach.

I am sad to hear that, Ivomasek. I had downloaded the island route but have now delete it and the session. I am now downloading yours and will be happy knowing I have the original!

Complaining about it on the Forum is of limited value, since it may not be noticed by anyone with official power to do anything about it.

You should use the Helpdesk to report this case of plagiarism. N3V will investigate it and if satisfied that it is a genuine case, will remove the assets from the Download Station and send a “first warning” message to the author. If that person keeps on uploading unauthorised copies of your work (and is reported for doing so), N3V can/will ban them from the DLS.

The Helpdesk link is in the menu bar at the top of this Forum page. Click on it and go to the Trouble-shooter button to create and submit a Helpdesk Ticket. Choose category “General/Other” then “Other”. Follow the instructions to create the Ticket and make sure to include the kuid numbers of original and unauthorised copies when you describe the situation. It may take a day or two to get a reply, but in my experience, N3V act swiftly if there is a clear case of plagiarism.
