Hi:

I have bought a new computer.

I have loaded my trainz 12 but I did not update it with SPs and HFs.

I had Murchison and I red that there were problems with its intallation and then apply the SPs and HFs, other ones informed about probems wih the Murchion installation on Trainz 12 once that SPs nd HFs. have been installed

What is the better method,

a) first update Trainz12 with all SPs and HFs and then install Murchison or
b) first install Murchison on the Trainz 12 without SPs and HFs and then apply all of them

Thank you in advance

Six to one, half dozen the other!!! In other words, install TS2012 without SP1 on two separate HDD (or on two separate partitions D:\ E:\) if you have more than one HDD/partition.

Update one of the TS2012 to SP1 HF4. If you have Murchison 2's serial number in your profile, the two separate 1gig (approx) M2 files should automatically start downloading once you start TS2012. (any other DLC you have purchased should auto install, as long as you have entered those serial numbers in your profile). Once installed, take it for a test run. If it runs OK, make a backup copy, and you don't need to worry about "option two"...

If you have any problems, try installing Murchison 2 .ja file directly into the (Builtin folder) on the other pre SP1 copy of TS2012 on the other partition/HDD.. (you have to manually enter M2's serial number for it to work. Launcher> Options). Then do a QDR or EDR. Then take for a test run. If that works OK, make a copy of that as a backup, then try and update to SP1 HF4. Good luck...

If I remember correctly, some of M2's .cdp's have been updated to newer versions, so also download all updates...

Both options work, but I initially had problems with the 2nd option wanting to continually re-download Murchison 2 2xfiles everytime I started TS2012. (Had to turn off the auto download DLC content to stop it from auto downloading).

Cheers, Mac...
