One minor problem

I have enough rolling stock and I'm almost finished my third try at a route following the plan of my former HO layout. I would like to resolve this last problem before turning things over to my son and my two grandsons. Sometime ago I purchased the Heritage set of locos. Shortly afterwards one of the locos NS ES44AC 8105, the Interstate Line no longer was in the Roundhouse and the listing on my file and on the listing in CM had turned red.. At the time I just assumed that it would get fixed. Now I wonder if I was supposed to do something. Can any of you tell me if I need to do anything and if yes, what do I need to do? Deisan

I did as you suggested and found a list of the dependencies. On the first line was "Kuid2:45324:50208:1 is unknown". Not knowing what this might be. If its just a wrong Kuid number I would have thought it would be a quick fix. I'll try to list the details on the other locos in the series to see if I can spot anything missing. Thanks for the tip to find out what might be wrong. Deisan

I have a minor trainz problem and I couldn't find a thread for it and did not want to create another new thread so I thought I would post it here. Some times when I place engines in surveyor and then go into driver I cannot control them. I click on the engine but no controls for the engine show up and instead of a picture of a driver in the bottom left corner all I get is a question mark. Why is this? How can I fix it?

May I ask which train exactly are you having this problem with? It may be that the train in particular does not have an engine spec, and therefore is undriveable

Jack

no it is not a problem with the engine, as I have already used it successfully many times before. Could it have something to do with the number of engines that I place?

It could be that the train doesn't have a driver assigned to it. Hmm, if you go into Driver Setup (?) in the surveyor, and just check all trains on the route have a driver allocated to them

Further to what Jack has said this is an explanation to what has happened.

When you first add locomotives to a session and save and close the session edit a list of drivers is saved in the Driver Setup rule. When you subsequently edit that session and add more locomotives no new drivers are added so you must edit the Driver Setup or you will not see any additional drivers when you go into Drive mode.

Thanks for the help, I tried what you said and it worked. Thank You!

It is considered "bad mannors" to Hi-Jack someone else's help request for your own purposes.

Next time, please start your own thread, so as to not take away from the help the OP is seeking.

Sorry. I just did not want to clutter up the forum with lots of threads. I will be aware of this next time.
