In Zelda Spirit Tracks, and before you say anything about keeping this with the other 2, this is different. What type of Train was the Wooden train or Spirit train in Zelda Spirit Tracks? That's what I need to know.

This is a genuine question. I have often seen reference to 'Zelda Spirit Tracks' in your posts, and I have no idea what they are! Would you please indulge my ignorance with an explanation?

Thank you.

Many thanks for your prompt reply, frogpipe, all is now clear. I'm afraid that I am not 'au fait' with Nintendo, etc.

Maybe with all this fad for 'Zelda', the op would be better off consigning Trainz to the shelf for
storage & getting his Nintendo cranked up to actually play the game he is obviously so fond of. :hehe:

Well, I have played the game, but I never knew what sort of train the Wooden Train and Spirit Train were. Thanks for the help. Also, to explain Zelda Spirit Tracks, it was a game that in the overworld, you basically drove a train. In the beginning, you had to drive the Wooden Train to Hyrule Castle to get the Engineer's Certificate or something like that, and afterwords, Princess Zelda comes along to go to the Spirit Temple, and that's when things start to happen. The Spirit Tracks, which is basically the jail bars for the enemy, maldus, has the Spirit Temple broken into 4 different parts and with that it makes all the Spirit tracks disappear. As you progress through the game though, you make the spirit tracks come back by either getting a rail map, or completing a temple. That's the basic to Zelda Spirit Tracks.

I think zeldaboy14 may have a slight interest in the game zelda, I'm not 100% sure but it seems that way.

Please STOP making so many threads for irrelevant questions. Stop talking about games other than trainz. Wooden train? I would imagine its a train (you know what they're for right?) and it'd probably be made out of wood

Ok, then why not talk about it? It has trains, so why not?

Ask yourself one question ...................................

How many Railway (Railroad) fans have any interest in a game like 'ZELDA', that was a Nintendo fantasy game?
My sons used to play it decades ago, it's all about Myth, Magic & unrealistic worlds, it has no resemblance to the
world of railways (railroads) that most of (99.9%) of Trainz users are trying to replicate, yes we do have a number of
users who are fans of 'Thomas the Tank Engine', but it is mainly for the younger users of older registered members, some
of us have sons or grandsons (daughters as well, don't want to be sexist) who we cater for, but at least 'Thomas' is
based on a real railway & has some merit, in the fact that it teaches young ones some life values.

Just my tuppenceworth, but that's how I look at things from my 'Old Fogie' side of things. ;)

ok, but Zelda spirit tracks came out about 5 years ago, and I guess I should just stick with the Thomas Content to talk about. :'(

Ok zeldaboy, I think a lot of folks would like you better if you dropped talking about both Zelda and Thomas, and just stuck with real stuff.

Well if that's what "Floats your boat" fine, but why not join the majority of us in creating the real world of railway (railroad) that Trainz was actually produced to do?
For the older generation among us, re-creating lines long lost can be an education to those who are younger, whilst the younger members who are now
getting 'out & about' on the current networks, can educate us older fans about the state of things today.

My own penchant for routes is the preserved lines of British Railways, but I do like the modern routes being built by British creators.
I don't use any foreign routes, but find some assets made for other than British, will fit within my builds, I'm sure there are others on the
continent or over the other side of 'The Pond' who are the same, but I don't think 'fantasy' is something that figures too highly with most. ;)

Ok, and I was trying to recreate my home town's railroad into trainz anyway at some point, and I'm still working on that plus A Forest Test route.

Good Morning All
We don't mind non prototypical/non railway items for Trainz, since Trainz does encompass more than just the rail vehicles! As such, it's not appropriate to attack someone trying to build something a little different, even if it is not something you are interested in.

That said, @Zeldaboy14, please do a little research yourself. Most people don't mind helping out, so long as you show that you've done some research yourself.

Regards
