Finding good content! Searching and finding good routes/locos/rolling stock on the DLS is a real pain. There should be a rating system so I can tell how 'good' something is. I hate spending 5-10 minutes downloading a route, only to find that its missing a few dependencies or is only 1 baseboard etc.

Where is the good stuff!? I've resorted to patrolling through the screenshot threads looking for appealing stuff to get. There needs to be a change in the way we sort through the content.

I agree

I agree with u 100%. There has got to be some rating systems in the DLS. i play TC and i always find something good, and it has missing dependecies!

Is the missing stuff realy needed to enjoy the layout? I expect the answer is often, if not ussualy, no. If it is rolling stock, definately no. If it is a few buildings and trees, definately no. Even if it is track, it is not dificult to automatically replace it. Even missing bridges and tunnels are not all that difficult to replace with built in content. I have often done so. In fact I use ONLY built in content so I often must replace stuff that is readily available on the DLS. No big deal.

You're right, I can totally overlook a few missing items. Its the quality of the content I'm worried about.

For example: Lets say that I want to find a nice southwestern U.S desert route. what do I search for? well, I try a few things: keywords like southwest, desert, canyon, arizona, nevada. Lets face it, some people's descriptions are crap. they dont tell you how long a route is, what industries it has...etc.

I wish there was either a rating system for content, or a website or even forum thread where content is reviewed. A "weekly top 10 DLS" thread would be helpfull.
