Oil & LNG Unloader

I have just downloaded the LNG & OIl platforms & Refinery; all these load LNG & Oil but is there an appropriate unloader for the ships? Any help appreciated.

I don't think unloaders for those have been made for ships yet. If anyone is going to make them, Vulcan will, he is already working on ship based industries. We just have to be patient, unless you are able to jerry-rig something.

Adapt and overcome.

For the process, new industry would move the materials. If a mesh is what you are looking for, that should not be too much a problem to find something to place on the pier.

The ships load at the offshore platform and unload at the refinery, you can see the system on my webpage:

There is a diagram on the page showing how the system works. I have not designed a separate unloading platform, as I figured that all tankers would unload at a refinery.

Yes Tongs, that is correct, took a long walk along the Brisbane river.

Ummm, must try to upload the Huletts Euphod. I was trying to get the gantry to work correctly before I uploaded any models in the ore ship series, but might re-think that.

Trouble with Loader & Oil & LNG Refinery

The Oil Loader and Oil & LNG Refinery have stopped showing up in Surveyor? The tracks show but not the structures. I have deleted and re-downloaded but to no avail - they were working previously - all help appreciated, Tongs

Further on Oil Loader & Refinery

I have just tested the above in a new scenario with 10 m grids and they show ok except in properties for the Oil Refinery there is no 'consume' for the crude oil, only loading for LNG etc?? I went back to my previous scenario in surveyor where I have the TRS Airport & Seaport and tried again but only the tracks appear?

The refinery will accept crude, so the ships unload, they are not exactly set up to consume the crude, because I have allowed trains to load crude for transport elsewhere. I did not want the refinery to consume the crude before a train had a chance to load some for other destinations, just trying to be a bit versatile.

I had noticed that sometimes only the tracks appear when you place the refinery model. It depends on where on the baseboard you place it, try a different position and it will appear. This is random and I have no idea why it occurs.

Alternatively, place the model, and then save and exit the map. The complete model will appear when you reload the map.

Success at Last

I have found that the Oil & LNG Refinery etc. can be made to show up if you apply the object rortation tool - a twist or two and presto - the building and tracks both appear - thanks for all the help, Tongs
