How to replace an obsolete kuid, how does not apear on a route, but still existing in it (it's a junction item witch it can be seen on a map, but not on the landscape)
A new version with an other kuid exist for that item, but we can't use the replacement function of ts10, because the old one is not selectable
tk for help

This has come up a couple of times - enough I think to be called a 'Known Issue',

As far as I know there is no direct way to use the 'Replace Asset' function on an object which is obsoleting an original route asset.

If the obsoleting asset is NOT built-in you can temporarily delete it, this will force the route to use the original asset which can be replaced.

I have not tried it but if the obsoleting asset IS built in, disabling it might have the same effect...

Tanks for your help
But I see that me pb is worst than I expected!
The kuid is no more on the list of dependencies... don't no why?
Junction appear on the map, but not on the route

This route was ok few month before
but something wrong was done ... may be when I update ts on 44088 version?
I have many error when I repaired the data base instead I reinstal the game and the update...

Just a though, after backing up a copy of your route, perhaps open for edit in explorer and edit that kuid out of the list in config.txt. Again, just an idea, and be absolutely sure to make a backup copy in a CDP and do not rely on Revert to working.

The kuid table is no more than a reference list, the details of asset placement on the route are held in the obs and/or gnd files and cannot be directly edited.

Editing the kuid table has no effect. Deleting an item from the list will not stop it from appearing, adding an item to the list will not make it appear on the route. You can prove this quickly and easily by deleting the entire kuid table! The route will still load and work exactly as it should and the program will simply re-write the list next save...

The kuid table is a list of dependancies and is not required nor does it get rebuilt. They are put there by the creator to show the main assets used in the config file, these are not a complete list of the dependancies needed for that asset to work. Delete the kuid or make it a kuid2 number will stop CMP showing it as missing. In CMP right click on the obsolete asset and click view versions, if you have a yellow folder then you have the updated kuid working in the route, if it shows DS then you need to download it.

We are talking about a route's kuid table which does get rebuilt every save and is not placed by the user. Maybe read the whole thread, not just the last post...

SO! How to recover me route
How to associated the kuid (for now: point motor WH63) to junctions existing in the route and working in the map?

How to associated the kuid (for now: point motor WH63) to junctions existing in the route and working in the map?

In the absence of constructive comments from anybody else I can only refer you back to Post #2, particularly the last two lines...

ok
this work for an existing item show on the route
but when the objet is not selectable, (ie junctionmotor not show)
how to associated an item to all junstions (junction as a nb on the map and can be operated)
same problem with rail witch appear only by lines but with no item selectable, (the previous item is not more longer in the cmp)

Those items are missing content and must be installed to be selectable.

If the route shows no missing content then the no-show assets are faulty and must be fixed before they will show up.

You can establish whether the assets are missing or faulty by right-clicking the route in CM > Show asset Dependencies (or similar)

Which kuid do you have for the point motor as there are two versions on the DLS. kuid2:33572:24000:1 is for TC 1 & 2 while kuid2:36705:1065:1 is for 2009.
