NSW Payware content

There's a bit on Paulz Trainz (the NSW items have freeware equivalents as well IIRC, some of which are extremely good).
There's a heck of a lot of freeware on the DLS as well, for both Vic and NSW (including some ex-payware items from Uncle Rob, which were released as freeware through the VicTrainz modelers group to the DLS, with permission).
There's also a few of us making yet more freeware (and some payware) as well...
Personally, I've got a few freeware Victorian items in production (along with a NSWGR C36 class that gets worked on when I get some inspiration to do so), plus some VR items that will be payware (depending on how the 36 goes, it may become payware - no idea so far though, too early in that project to tell).
Take a look in the Australian Screenshots thread for some inspiration for searches (most screenshots show either available, or soon to be available, items - being little payware available most screenshots only show freeware :hehe: ).

While the NSW content for Trainz is certainly good enough to be payware, thankfully this is not the case, and it's all freely available, either on the DLS or over at Victrainz. There is also some more NSW freeware over at Razorback Railways (Registration required.)
All the Authors mentioned make excellent quality NSW/Vic rollingstock. For routes, though, you might want to try the following:

That should give you enough to start with, and if you are stuck for inspiration, as Zec says, head over to the Aussie Screenshot Thread. There is plenty of inspiration and help to be had.

I believe ad602000 has a NSWGR 47 class under his account on the Download Station.
If unsure, try a search on the DLS (or the forums for that matter) for the company (e.g. NSWGR or VR, etc), or loco class (e.g. 47 class, S class, etc). Note, the forums will not do loco class searches too well
