Morning in South Fork...

*going.. haha, havnt been yet. we're driving from buffalo to washington and are stopping at harpers ferry and cumberland on the way thru WV, can anyone recommend anywhere awesome to see?
 
Yeah, kinda sorta on the way please haha would love to go to Cass for the Shays but i dont think ill have time :/

Abandoned Buffalo train station
Tyrone- for that curve lol
Altoona for a day of exploring
Harrisburg is that the rockville bridge?
York/ Lancaster
Harpers Ferry
Washington DC

Oh, Harper's Ferry. Yeah, that's barely in West Virginia. It's not exactly rail related, but some of the more interesting parts of the C&O Canal sites are up in that area if I recall right. I haven't been up that way in years though.
 
The Rockville bridge is in Harrisburg, if you also have time, I suggest going to the Harrisburg Transportation Center and catching a little Amtrak action.
 
Also, if your in the Harrisburg area on a Saturday I would go the the Harris Tower, it is run the Harrisburg chapter of the NRHS, they have the old Panel still in there and it runs so you can basically run a simulation of what it was like in the PRR days in the tower and you have to be the switchman.
