novice seeks advice

Hi All a few days ago I was seeking help with CMP.I have read the instructions on how to use it,do not know if I have it all correct yet but I do try.

I go to the CMP make a search and found <kuid:342053:25556> Shop Fferyllfa GNS I watched it download saw the box ticked green,my settings tab is set at Automatically commit and reopen assets.

Should this now be in my surveyor under objects,as it is it is not there.

Can someone tell me what it is I am doing wrong,any hints and tips please.

And if I am doing it right please tell me,Thank you

Look up <kuid:342053:25556> in the main box, and make sure your in text mode, you can find it by doing a search on kuids. When it comes up look at the six condition icons on the left, to find out what they mean hover the mouse pointer over them. It could be faulty or missing dependencies, report back what you find.

Thanks I dont know if this will help but if I go here http://www.trainzclassics.co.uk/ and choose any item to download,then it goes straight in.The problem is with me on the CMP/DSL I must be doing something wrong. Thanks.

You say your set to auto commit then re-open asset. Check if you have anything open for edit, select all then commit .

It works,.........but it is called (DS Shop Fferyllfa GNS) go back to surveyor and look down the column untill you get to the ones starting with DS, in the objects tab, let me know if you find it.

before you do that try downloading the shop as a CDP file to your desktop, from the DLS, then do a import CDP, from the files tab in CMP.

insted of clicking the download helper tab in DLS, click the download page, then click on the (Download file via direct FTP link)

right then .....1.....go to the DLS
....................2.....search for kuid:342053:25556.
....................3.....click on download page.
....................4.....in the pop up click on the (Download file via direct FTP link)
....................5.....save to desktop or Defult I think is documents just
.......................... check where it downloads to
....................6.....now go to your CMP and click on the file tab.
....................7.....in the drop down box click Inport CDP's.
....................8.....guide the import box to where you down loaded the CDP file,
.......................... highlight it and click enter.

If you do decide to reload TRS2006, Remember!

If yours is one that needs SP1

DON'T......
...............play the game before you have loaded SP1.....If you need it.

DO..........
...............Close down your virus checker and firewall.
...............Install and run as Administrator if you have Vista or windows 7.
