Notification of Private Mails in the Forum

I think the alert for Private Mails (PMs) in the forum is inadequate. The notification is too small and in my case, can go unnoticed for days. This is extremely annoying and even more so when one has sent a PM and it doesn't get noticed by the recipient for ages! I would like to suggest a more prominent alert be made for PM notifications.

Sorry, I'm not an artist!

I'm not suggesting anything as drastic as this but please, to whom it may concern, can and will this be done!

Thanks,

Rob.

There is an option you set that opens a notification window. Go to the General Setting section of your account page and when you scroll down, you will find an option to activate a pop-up window that notifies you of new messages.

After you change the setting, don't forget to go to the bottom of the page and hit "save changes".

Well thanks gents, I've never visited that page and I didn't know it even existed! Very much appreciated.

You should feel lucky. Some of us don't even get PMs that we get to gloss over! It's a lonely world over here.... a lonely world.

A chat similar to Facebook's would be a great improvement to the forums.

I thought that a Facebook-like chat would be easier and more convenient because you don't have to refresh the page just to see if you have mail. And also in the chat you can search for who's online instead of sending a PM and waiting for day for a response because you never know if they are online. Lastly, Facebook has a tone when you receive an instant message rather than just a small highlighted area on the screen.
