Northbay County TS12

I am keen to download Northbay County TS12 from DLS. When I try to, I get the "Couldn't obtain download URL" and "Couldn't be found on DLS" messages. I understand the messages but wonder why it features on DLS. Anyone else having the same problem?

Forget about the DLS and try to do it via Content Management. I had no problems at all downloading via CM.

Thanks oknotsen for your suggestion. I have been trying CM as well as DLS. Tried again today, but no success. Tried downloading some of the Northbay sessions but same messages. I am able to download other material from other sites with no problems.

What are the missing assets. As you have TRS2006 you have all the original assets needed. There is a slight problem with the updates that Mike did, he did not fill in the obsolete-table so his content wouldn't replace mine. He has re-uploaded all the files to the DLS which should fix this.

Be patient, Northbay County is worth the wait.

I see the new version of Northbay County TS12 on the DLS. Although some have downloaded it, I am still getting the messages I reported when I started this thread, see above. Tried from DLS and from CM. Same response.

Next part of saga. Downloaded Route file via ftp and used CM to commit. Cleared Downloading menu in CM. Northbay County then appeared in Download Helper Menu. Clicked start and download commenced. When completed, in Main View determined missing dependencies. Identified dependencies missing were on TS2010. Converted missing dependencies from there as CDP. Imported them to TS12. Still have list of same missing dependencies (slugsmasher and narrowgauges). Opening up TS12 and going to routes - no Northbay County.

When I downloaded the route, in TS12 it is flagging a Region error (though I think most do this as I had to manually amend my last TS12 route to correct this).

Note to mods: Is it worth merging all the Northbay threads into one as the issues and answers (also praise!) are otherwise going to end up a bit scattered?

The updated files with the obsolete-table(s) filled in are now live on the download server – 52 files. Also 2 additional files that were updated and added to the base map after the initial upload are on the download server.

After updating all the files on a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] computer I noticed that the “Northbay County – Showcase” session was showing “ng crummy” as a missing asset. DARN !! I placed the original caboose on the session map and not the updated “ng crummy TS12” version. An updated Showcase session was uploaded a few hours ago but will take several days to become live for download. In the mean time, the session runs without the caboose.

I can verify that narrowgauge’s masterpiece Northbay County looks even greater on a big screen TV at 1080P.:)

I'm getting the same problem as you were having Allan, only it's not just Northbay, every single layout/route is coming up in the downloader as 'can't find a download url'

Hi Jon157uk,
I can only suggest you might try a bit of tweaking along the lines of my "5.36pm Yesterday" message above. CM And DLS work in mysterious ways.

jon157uk,

If your build is not 49922 for TS12, you may have problems downloading some maps (especially if they are TS12 maps).

That's very annoying Shane because I can't update TS12 any further than the build I have because it's a download from Steam and not a CD/DVD version.
