Norfolk Southern returns steam program

In railfan and railroad this month they reported that the NS is restoring southern 2-8-0 no 630, southern mikado no. 4501, and Army 2-8-0 no 610.
This is in conjuction withTennesse Valley Railroad Museum.

The Tennesse Valley Railroad Museum is restoring and operating (before you say NS is) the locomotives, and the 610 is running and has been running for quite some time. Also its not another steam program its a VERY limited group of trips and the bulk of trips are Norfolk Southern customers, there will be very few for the public.

wait a sec,I thought the 4501 was mothballed,the last time she ran was along side 2 other steam engines from the N&W before NS terminated the program,I would be amazed to see the old 2-8-2 mikado run again if the rumours are true!
