No trains no routes after clean install

I just purchased and installed tz2010 with SP3

The first time I ever launched tz2010 and there are no trains or routes??

Not sure i understand you properly, but if you have purchased a version of Trainz which includes SP3 then...

... that patch won't work because SP3 is Build 43434

Please disregard if I have misunderstood your first statement...

I bought the digital download which i believe is build 41491

I then run the patch 41491_to_41615.exe

tz2010 works fine

I then run the patch 41615_to_43434.exe

After that patch, no content at all, no surveyor mode, no tutorials, no trainz, no routes
note: i get no errors running the patch

Use the search function and put in HOTFIX. 2nd page a post by GPavlich, a manual patch to take you from43434 to the latest one.
It may not help but you can only try it.
It may seem to stop at 50%, it hasn't.

After applying the first patch did you do an extended database repair?

I would also re-boot the computer between patches...

The content editor would no open so I couldn't do a db repair.

However, after re-installing again (this time restarting between patches) it seems to be working. I'm now using build 44088

But now, when I install the blue-comet DLC, it says it installed fine - even shows up in the launcher options.

...but it is not in my railyard nor does it appear in the content manager

update, ran a "quick database repair" all seems to be working perfectly now
