No coal?

Was screwing around in driving mode in the N&W Appilacian area, seeing how things worked. Had a cut of coal cars which I pushed under an Iron Mine. Got a little bit of Iron in the bottom of the coal cars. Okay, my bad.

Now, I went way over on the west end, at the Buckhorn mine (coal). Had coal cars, and pushed them under the tipple. It said it would make coal, was available for use, but no coal came out.

Not sure what you need to do to make coal. Is there something I need to trigger or turn on?

Did you setup the industry before you went into driver? Did you check the coal cars will load coal?
For the first step while in surveyor bring out your objects tab (the one with the house icon) left click on the question mark at the bottom of the tab then left click on the industry. This should bring up a small panel which tells you how much of what product it has, you can also set the amount you want at this stage. Next step bring out you vehicle tab ( the botom one whith the wheel icon) do the same as above with the vehicle you want to use to carry the coal. If it will load coal there will be a small coal icon in the panel and the amount you can carry near top centre of the panel.

I think your problem is that the iron is taking up the space in the coal wagons. You can usually only have one load at a time in a goods wagon in Trainz.

If you re-try the session and avoid the iron, the wagons should load with coal for you.
