Newby to Trainz and 2022

Hello everyone,

I just purchased this product for simple layout design and can't find basic information on how to work the program. I'm having several problems that are technical in nature and a lot of basic questions about scale and operation. I've gone through 3 Youtube tutorials which has certainly helped me but does not answer question about "bugs" I'm encountering. Where's the best thread to go to? I don't want to bore you with trivial question.

Are you using Surveyor Classic or Surveyor 2.0? The former is certainly easier but the latter more powerful. As a beginner I'd suggest Classic. Once you understand the very basics it becomes very intuitive.

My recommendation is to begin by just fiddling around with track laying. Then terra forming. I also learnt a lot by dismantling some of the routes that had been built by others.
