Hello all I have a question. I am currently attempting to add drivers to a route. I am trying to add all AI drivers to trains to run between industries. I am using the A and SLT multiplayer map for multiple ai driven trains. The problem I am having I will create for example 4 coal trains, each of which will go to a diffrent location to load and unload. This is where I run into issues I assign the drivers tell them to load at coal mine unload at power station Two of the trains will follow the orders while the other two just sit there not doing anything. The driver is assigned to the train and to load and unload at proper industries and they dont move. Yes the track is clear the AI does not take over the driving actions. What am I missing? The AI wont drive more then half the trians I add any help I would apperciate from you seasoned folks.
By the way its for TS12

Thank again,
Confused Surveyor guy

The 2 that don't move what message do you get? Also go to the signal in front of the loco and hover the mouse over it, what message does that give you ?
Try moving them yourself, that may throw something up.
What locos you using ?

no message or not due to signal its like they wont follow the preappointed sech. or route just the union pacific trains or the ATSF locos

I was having some problems like this recently with passenger services.

I found that if more than one train is heading to the same destination over some distance (such as an industry or station a good way down the line) even though the signals are clear, the train that is following will stop. - It appears to see the train ahead going to the same place

I have found two fixes for the problem for this "crowding"

Either, send the trains through a series of track marks to break up the journey thus not having trains going to the same place at the same time

Or, even better - create some "false" junctions along the route - (for some reason the crowding seems to occur when there is one continuous unbroken path)
To do this I simply added a few sections of invisible track to spur off at intervals from the main line - I also added invisible levers - it had the desired effect and the trains ran along happily without "seeing" another in the same unbroken section.

This may work for you depending on the route they are taking of course

Good luck and let us know - Nij

If you have trains following each other, put in between signals in. The type 05s work for this with type 04s at junctions working in conjuction with type 06s.
