FEC Train 240, a special train dedicated to railroad employees and railfans, ran on my route in it's most fictious manner. FEC SD70M-2, CSX SD40-2, and two Amtrak Superliners.

I recognize the area in the shot with the highrises in the background from your video's. Nice work.

Thanks!

My premier night hotspot is Hollywood, but I have plans to go to Delray so that should have realistic coverage too.

Wish the KWE remained to today and there would be a few spots as well, like South Miami or Kendall.

One easy train on the fps was train 202, Hialeah to Bowden, on it's Saturday run. Saturdays the train runs light power to Ft. Laud where it'll pick up 4000' or so of empty flats, then get some OJ and WMT trailers at Fort Pierce.

If you caught my thread asking the culprit of tough frame rates, you probably know what I did to this route. I took away most loads of grass to save on precious frame rates. Replacements are a fair brush of JVC grass, though, at the end, I plan a high quality version with greenery.name grasses prominent. I noticed a key JVC "group" and will probably rebush West 8th going from there.

One neat spot to railfan is Dania because of the high-speed curve there.

I took my time to model the area today and I think the railroad scene will look great!

That's a great shot there Brickbuilder. It's no problem on trying to save framerates, but I'll be sure looking forward to the high-quality version, but the one you have going sure looks mighty nice!

Thanks;

Honestly I do seem a bit happier with JVC. Though greenery succeeded at detail, there is a nice, shorter version of JVC in the @grass column.

I still use greenery, don't get me wrong. It just is used less, that's all.;)

That last picture is great! I don't think you need to actually mirror real life, just plant enough grass to give the impression of unbridled growth!:D

I believe you wanted some houses for your other project. I've posted these in that thread, so hope they may be of use. I can delete this if you wish

Escafeld, From where can I download those houses?
Thanks, Jpereira

They are available in packs from the DLS. Type in 75263 and make sure you tick-box KUIDS and 2004

The houses sure are interesting.

If you are the Florida East Coast Railway, your gates would be arranged like so in a four lane crossing through a downtown.

I'm back with coverage on FEC 222. Northbound run from Hialeah to Bowden which carries rock, intermodal, and sometimes manifest and autos.

Cantilever Crossing equipment has been mentioned here.

*I thought using the font seems appropriate :P

222 doubles out of Hialeah with Power 100 and 716. We first get him at NW 69 AV RD.

brickbuilder711_20090407_0003.jpg

Then time to head to the recently upgraded West 8 Av crossing

Soon does the signals activate.

Make sure you can release the cantilever for TRS2006 with track splines that will make the light flash. By the way, don't forget the bell. Especially WCH E-Bells. Make sure you can put your cantilever on 6-lane roads. By the way, you should create a programmable cantilever from Copans Rd

Copans Road is on the line of cantilevers I shall do, I will be sure to take a pic or better yet, a video once I am up there. one of the few cantilevers on the FEC that are in a bridge fashion for both sides of traffic, though it make sense to use one sided W/O cantilevers.

T'is the season for another asset that makes drastic changes to life, or two, maybe.

Hollywood, FL (BNSF50 ATLS Compatible crossings) NOTE Something new to Version 2.1!

I was out for two trains on a modest Monday.

First up in the wee hours, 335 at Croissant Park in Fort Lauderdale.

brickbuilder711_20090517_0009.jpg

Then the chase was on for 101 in the early evening, before sundown at about 7:30 PM. The game was set to 5:25 PM ish.

It sure looks like I imagine SE Florida to be! I've been to Cocoa Beach is farthest SE I've been. So yah, I'd say you've captured the environment very well.

Great screenshots!

Thank you! The purpose I created this was to simulate the operations and resemble the area completely.
