I have placed an order for Trainz 2010 (who knows when it will be here) and have been reading the forums and perusing the various pages on the web site. I notice that some of the files carry a logo for T2004. I assume that this means it is compatible with Trainz 2004. Will a file so marked work for Trainz 2010? I would really like to use some of the files for American Civil War trains and hope this will not be an issue.

Yes, in the main, but they won't have newer features like opening doors on vehicles etc. unless the author has created a revised version.

Scenarios won't run as the scripting is different.

2010 may report a lot of errors on older creations, because it's more sensitive, but most can either be ignored or fairly easily fixed.
