Being the proud new owner of Trainz 12, can I add my earlier purchase of Settle & Carlisle to it, instead of having it as a separate install. If so, how do I go about it?.

By the sounds of things, that includes SP1. If so, downloading and installing is done in-game, by clicking Get New Content followed by Redownload All Purchases (the label may be slightly different).

I've had S&C for a long time and its always worked in later editions. Apparently there were some fixes/updates for the TS12 SP1 version so you should get them automatically. There was a bridge on one line that seemed to have subsided into the ground so the train actually drives through it. Don't know if that was fixed.
