New to trainz, can't find any help

There we go, bingo... info like this is what I'm looking for... I'm an info hog, I like to read every little detail on every aspect of any game I'm playing. Maybe it's cause I'm a programmer and I like details.

Now if there were only a website that had a collection of info like this with an index of articles and a search function..........

To register your specific version, you need to click Options on the Launcher and enter your username and password where prompted.

There is no serial number on the mac version from the app store.
Start trainz and click settings. Enter your Auran username and password there.
Then use the content manager and select download station instead of installed.
Use custom to narrow down the list of available downloads.

I agree, the help documentation in trainz for mac is mostly useless.

Then this is something that N3v needs to sort out, how are we supposed to know who are legitimate users, when
people come on here asking for info ?

I'll help anyone with a registered version, but if Mac versions ain't registered, they won't get any help from me.

Virtualrailroader had a ton of PDFs for download. Older versions but a lot still applies. Google them and have a read.

Unless you're being facetious, uhmmm, Hello?...open eyes, look around...You Are Here --> X

Same way as you do for the PC version. If they have the indicator on their forum account, then you know they own the product. If they don't, then refer them to helpdesk.

cheers,

Have you tried the search function on the forum? It doesn't accept 'Mac' as a search term.

Stop being rediculous.

The search function does not accept ANY 3 character parses, but who searches with such a broad term anyway?...(If you want general "mac" info, just brouse the "MAC" section...duh.)..but he needs to register his version to access it...so...again..Registration is important.

Doing a search for an actual problem, and including "MAC" as part of the string certainly works just fine.
-such as, "Driving in MAC vesion", or "mac shortcut keys"...Both work just fine.

Trainz is really a PC game, for large hard drives and high powered video cards ... With an Ipad you will only get the simplest most rudimentary aspects of the game ... I have no idea of the complexities and disadvantages of running Trainz for MAC on an Apple machine ... which is not a PC at all.

Thanks for the help, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. If anyone is familiar with Minecraft, the wikia I'm hoping exists for this game would look something like this:

http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Minecraft_Wiki

Also, if anyone can help me on the question I posted in post #15 I would be a happy camper

And why does the in game help not offer any information?
I'm very familiar with that wiki, but, some games have different wiki's for the games. Also, you may know me on Minecraft as Zeldaboy14 as well.

Funnily enough if you search "Driving in PC version", you get exactly the same result. As you say words of three letter, like MAC, don't register in the search engine.
