Ohh, ok. And if I download a train from the download station, how will I be able to hook up cars? How will I be able to operate the train?

On surveyor, you would add the cars and it would couple automatically. You can click the Quick Drive button on the upper left of the screen to run the train. You can change weather conditions and time of day by clicking the Edit Session Rules button, also on the top left hand corner.

That would be great! I think I will try that sometime.

Another question, does anyone know if there is multiplayer? I read something about it somewhere but I don't have that function:(.

So, going back to the first of posts, that "content manager plus" is now showing up. What am I supposed to do there? I said I wanted to download it, but nothing is downloading.

Hmm...

Items with a "DS" symbol in the top right-hand corner are downloadable items. Select them, right-click, hit "download". Now, the item(s) should appear in the Download Helper box on the left-hand side of the screen. Hit "start" and the items should begin to download. Anything else will have a computer icon instead, and that means that it's already on your computer.

If you're downloading stuff from 3rd party sites, then once the cdp opens itself in Trainz, there will be a symbol to the right of the asset and below the "DS"/computer icon that looks like (IIRC, I don't have CMP open to check) a silhouette of a wrench and screwdriver crossed like an "x". This means that you need to commit it. Select it and right-click on it. On the pop-up list, there should be an option called "Commit". hit that, and now you should be able to use that asset in the game.

Hope that helps!

Welcome to the madhouse! I see you're 'enjoying' Trainz already..... :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

It is great fun once you get the hang of it. Afraid I am unable to help a lot as I stuck with TRS2004 and never bought 06, but never mind, it's still Trainz.

God bless,

Angela

Welcome to the Forum.
Using Trainz, you'll probably go through every emotion known to mankind, plus a few unknown:D .
But in the immortal words of the 'A-Team' "You'll love it when a plan comes together"

Well, I do feel safer downloading from the download station, so I will do my downloading there. It doesen't say in my download cart to "start" downloading. It only says"download all". Do I press that? Anyway, I wan't to download one of the amtrak trains created by magicland. Its file size is 1.01 mb and it has been downloaded over 27,000 times.

Also, what is a kuid?

Thank you for the welcome, miss angela and Pete. Also Pete, I do love your signature, because it only tells the truth :p. There is a saying by Benjamin Franklin" We learn a lot, but we die too soon." Your signature is also very funny itself.

Your asking good questions...

 DerCaptain, welcome to Auran Trainz Forum Community.

Check out this link to the TRS2006 Content Creators Guide, as found on your Start dialogue box.

This is a third party link to help you get the guide, however it's part of TRS2006.

It will go into detail about kuid(Kool-things User ID).

Read everything you can, and post here with your questions!

Hi,
Thanks for the compliment:)
A kuid is an unique number given to each content, route Etc. You can regard it as a serial number. The first six numbers are your user ID number, which you obtained when you joined Auran. Eg: Mine is 'kuid:107689:???????'
Once again Welcome
Cheers
Pete
