New layer

Is it possible to add a new layer in a Trainz route in surveyor and lock the others and make the new layer texture the whole route with a certain type of texture and when I unlock the other layers it disappears until I relock the original layers with the original colour texture for the ground?

So I can have dem data for editing and when driving have texture.

No, but you can hide the texture layer. You need two layers, one for texture and one for dem. Hide the one you don't want.

Sorry, but as far as I have been able to discover, Trainz ground textures are NOT stored in any layer so they cannot be hidden. DEM textures (whatever they are) may be a different matter.

That's what I thought as have been experimenting and the ground textures just stay there regardless unfortunately.
