No Mike i am not trying to show how great KRS is, your acting as if black and white situation.
YES trs does have its advantages, it has a great surveyor which i doubt will be topped by KRS though KRS does seem to have some interesting feautures that enable things not possible in trs.
yes TRS can look very nice with a lots of custom content (not really a bad thing, i love all the great content thats been put out for trs) , high game settings, anitroscopic filtering and trainz tuner to enhance the view distance,
unfortunalty due to the outdated graphics engine all this slows the game to a crawl, really more than anything else this is what has caused me to become fed up with the game, i can create beautiful landscapes but then can not run the routes as intended without my FPS going into the negative zone.
with the KRS demo i can get smooth FPS and the detail level is similar to my own routes or others for trs that i run with much lower FPS, all this with default content.
As for comparing with TC i cant do that as i dont own that game and never shall until some majot improvements are made though as from what i can see the folks at Trainz Land are pushing trs near to the level of KRS graphics, lets see if the old Jet engine can handle it though, looks quite nice in anycase.
Allen i agree Trs is nowhere close to being finished, i certaintly am not finished, i have too many projects going to ditch it, but i wont be using it exclusivly, it will have to share its time with KRS
Boco: i have no clue what you are referring to, unless by payware you mean you have to buy the game, i dont see how you have to pay any extra for those engines or route.
