That's likely the auto-reply (basically it confirms that your ticket was received, and tells you there may be a delay in replying).

I have just checked your ticket (which was replied to on the 17 Jan 2011 at 01:58 PM AU-EDT ), and my reply was stating that TRS2006 and older was unsupported, and that you would require a legitimate TRS2006 serial number.

My reply also explained that you must purchase a legitimate copy of Trainz to be able to register it. Your ticket, on the other hand, is asking for us to give you a serial number/license for Trainz for free, which we will not do. Please remember that your serial number is also your license key, and that it is your responsibility to ensure that it is kept safe with your discs.

Actually, in UTC and TRS2004, the serial number is stored in the "config.dat" file, located in the Settings subfolder of your Trainz installation folder. The situation might be similar in TRS2006, etc. Just open that file up in Notepad, and there you go. :D ;)

This is information that could almost deserve its own (sticky?) thread: Finding your serial number when you have Trainz installed, yet have lost the CD/DVD case that contained the serial number. :D ;)

Regards.

Is there a reason why the forum is open to all and sundry and not restricted to registered owners of the software?
I am most likely wrong, but instructing someone where to find the serial number is not helpful to the community at large unless of course Aurans servers check for dupicates.

The General Trainz forum is open to users (with an account) who have not registered a serial number, so as to allow questions to be asked if they do not have a serial (e.g. they may wish to ask if a particular function/item is available before purchasing, or may wish to ask other similar questions - they may also want to ask where to find a serial/etc).

The servers will only allow a serial number to be registered once (these are non transferable). It will show it as having already been registered for a number of times. If a large number of users/accounts attempt to register the serial number, it will be shown by our system as warez (pirated), and will ban the accounts with that serial number.

As a note, this should really be in the community forum.

I would also ask that stmsoccer please not use this as a 'blog'/'chat' thread. We allow users to announce new websites, or major updates to websites. However, we generally ask that updates be kept to a minimum.

fine with me Zec, sorry if you didnt like my advice, but I know he has a game and just wanted to help. I will keep it to a minimum just trying to spread the word.

The forum has been updated, as well as the main site, still no downloads, but close. Still looking for new members and content creators
