Ths aircraft is the Reaper MQ-9 remote control, it has a length of 11 metres so is not a small aircraft. The V key operates the missiles, multiple presses release the paveways, and ripple off Hellfire missiles from the pods. The nose sensor is randomly roaming when the aircraft is running.

At least there is no need for an interior, and you are already operating aircraft "remotely" in Trainz.

Australia is to acquire these aircraft, so this is the model:

There is a US Customs version, but I will probably remove the missiles, don't think the Custom use Paveways. :)

Hi everyone,

Craig,

Thank you for your nice words. I try to do my best to increase the possibilities of aviation in trainz and to make that these models can look like the real thing. But when the basis is good...

Ian,

This new drone looks terrific! I am not very familar with those new weapons, but it should be very interesting for many trainz users.

The revised Air France A321 is now available at the DLS.

I wish everyone good end of the year festivals and happy new year 2012.

Air Canada

More additions to my Air Canada series.

AirCanadafamily.jpg

The four aircraft in picture have the current teal livery which Air Canada have replaced the white fuselage paint system with (the white system is as per Maynard's original Air Canada B767 & A320).
The Boeing 767 has been there for a while but I have changed the colour a little. The new additions to the family are the recently modelled A321 & two A320s. The "Jetz" brand is mainly used for transporting NHL hockey players to their games but the aircraft are set up as business class for sports stars, rock bands & corporate clients.

I'll be adding the Tango low cost versions & a DHC-8-400 Air Canada Express to the family soon.......

All should be available on DLS shortly.

Nice aircraft Rob,

The MQ-9 reapers are available, I have removed the missiles from the US Customs model, they were only for testing, not for using on the Mexican border. :)

For the other aircraft, the missiles use multiple presses of the V key, and B to start or stop the engines.

There's a reason we keep Ed around for, other than is good looks, and that's his humour :hehe:

Gordon,

I'm guessing you've been busy with RubyTMX & 3D Warehouse.
Any chance some of those airport catering trucks are now on DLS? If so, any clues to their names or KUIDs?

Hi Rob,

I'll put them up as soon as I can, they are a little small I think but that can be fixed latter.

Hi Gordon,

Nice that you take care of the airport equipment.

I had a look on the catering trucks, and could not find a texture related to the catering company.
In fact, when you are inside sketchup, you should select the face where "sky hi catering" is written, then right click, then explode. Do it also to the other side.
Now you can export to trainz. You will notice that a new texture: rtm_009.tga has appeared. This texture can now be modified to the name of your prefered catering company.

Also there is a resizing tool in sketchup which is easy to use, if you consider the model out of scale.

Pascal

PS: in the same time, if you can move to origin of the axis to the truck center, it would be great.

Gordon,

Some picks of the catering trucks in action.

The scissor type fits with large airplanes such as 747 or A380
The other one fits with smaller planes such as this BAE146.

If you make them drivable, you are much welcome!

Hi nzld,

Just downloaded your truck, but with a poly count of 114470 poly's per truck you may have to be careful on how many you use.
This is not a criticism of using Sketch-up models but just making you aware of the poly count in these assets.
As a comparison my DAF primemovers are under 5500 poly's and I thought that was high.

Just thought I let you know.

Cheers,

Bill.
